Dude.   see Buffalo 66.  It friggin rules!

Maybe i'll see Brown Bunny with the lowest expectations ever, just to be safe.

Saw Secretary yesterday. James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhal. If you're into sado-masochism, you'll probably love this movie. As someone who isn't really into the whole beating-the-crap-out-of-her-is-the-new-buying-her-flowers thing, I thought it was rather odd but well-acted and interesting, even if I couldn't relate.

Spader is good at being creepy, as always. Gyllenhal has two self love scenes that are rather outstanding.

Two and a half stars.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

That movie was farged up.  I love the scene where she pisses herself in the wedding dress at his desk.

I'd pretty much agree with your overall assessment.

I watched a documentary called "Dig" last night.  It revolves around two bands (the Brian Jonestown Massacre & the Dandy Warhols) which i had never really heard of, but it was decent.  Drugged out guys claiming they're going to start a revolution musically is pretty funny considering they were around for 8 years and i'd never heard em.  Hell of a revolution.

Geowhizzer

I'm not sure that this qualifies here, but I picked up War Games (the old 1983 movie) today to watch at home since I am down with a 100+ fever.

It was funny to reminisce about the old-school computers (and I can remember coveting Matthew Broderick's computer set-up back then).  That 7½-inch floppy was something.  And being able to dial the phone and put it in the cradle to let the computers talk to each other- that was... radical!

And MDS, no jokes about not being born yet, you little brat.  :D

MURP

saw "Crash" last night.  Great flick.   :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead

Saw Downfall, German flick about Hitler. Very, very interesting. Great acting etc... not sure if it tries to engender some sort of sympathy towards the "brainwashed" ordinary-folk Nazis, which I am tad uncomfortable with, but worth watching to see it from a German point of view and a very well put-together film.
Saw Silver City too. Considering the subject matter and the cast, I thought it was very disappointing. Kris Kristofferson, Richard Dreyfuss are very good, Miguel Ferrer was excellent (not enough of him in the movie), but it could have been so much better, I thought. Billy Zane is a fleshpop too.

Anyone ever see Bubble Boy with Jake Gylenhall? Best movie evaaar.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

WEST is GOD

Bad Santa has been on Encore for the last few days. If you haven't seen it, look for it on Encore. Pretty funny movie.

That movie was overrated.  If I'd gone into it with lower expectations, it might have been OK.  Mostly, it was unfunny.

WEST is GOD

I felt the same way. It was overrated. Everyone told me the thing was absolutely hilarious, so I was disappointed. Nonetheless, it had it's moments, and actually was funnier the second time around for me. Maybe that was because I saw it at 5 in the morning and was dead tired though.

It has its moments. It's not as hilariious as some make it out, but it's a nice break from the norm.

Saw Shattered Glass a few weeks back. No one will ever be able to convince me that Hayden Christensen is a good actor. That guy's a stiff and all he does is whine. Anakin Skywalker my ass, he's a tool!

WEST is GOD

and I saw Cold Creek Manor the other day. Terrible movie.

Quaid pisses me off.
