rented a movie called "Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter" should arive from netflix tomorrow. anyone ever see it?

i'll let people know how it is after i watch it.

i rented it based on the title alone, and nothing else.

That movie just looks stupid. Not at all like the presumed cinematic masterpiece, JESUS CHRIST VAMPIRE HUNTER.

I've seen it.  It is stupid.  So stupid its pretty funny.

Just got back from seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Wonka's a completely different character in this version. At first I didn't like Depp's childish portrayal of Wonka, but after seeing why he was acting the way he was, it all made sense. Overall the original was better, but I definitely liked the social setup of the childrens behavior as compared to their parents. This version was a bit deeper, just not as good as the original.

The wife just finished re-reading the book and confirmed that the new movie is much more true to the spirit/story of the book, which is pretty much what we thought all along.  It's unfortunate that it can't avoid being compared (and usually unfavorably) to the very popular original, but they're all laughing their way to the bank anyway.
