Saw Charlie and the chocolate factory last night.  I thought it was good, good flick to see in the theatre with special effects and all.  Im not a huge fan of tim burton movies as far as substance, but as far as creativeness and  just plain weirdness, he's one of the best.  I never saw the entire 1st Charlie, but prob 75% of it.  I'll give it  :CF :CF :CF 1/2 out of 5.

Watched it last night. The production was a little hit-or-miss for me, but Johnny Depp was excellent.

I saw War of the Worlds the night before last, and I thought it was okay. There's obviously not much plot to the story, and I'm kind of glad that Spielberg didn't try and invent one.

I saw "Million Dollar Baby" last night.  The acting was amazing, but I was a little disappointed at how the movie dragged badly in certain spots, even though I kind of expected it.  Honestly, after seeing them both, I think "The Aviator" was ripped off.  Equally well done, but more entertaining.

Anyway, "MDB" gets a 4 of 5 from me.

because it didnt win best picture at the Oscars.   I happen to agree that Aviator should have won, but the Oscars are a sham anyway.

I thought the first three quaters of MDB were a 5/5, the last quater of it was about a 2/5.

Totally agree, MURP.
You're a homo, mussa.
Fair assessment there, NGM.

Oh, snap!

P.S.  Also saw "The Pacifier" over the weekend.  Formulaic and predictable, it's watchable if you have small children or need a "clean" movie for some reason.  About a 3/5.

What on God's green Earth made you decide to watch The Pacifier? Did you have your balls surgically removed this weekend?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I don't like half-points.  Closer to 2.5 if you want to be stupid.

Considering the audience the movie is intended for, yes.  It's an ok (not good, not bad) movie.

I can admit to renting that POS movie. The lack of anything else in the newer-title racks forced me to take a chance.

It was a poor copy of the thing that had Hulk Hogan in it.
