Anyone else see THIS trailer yet?

I can't wait to see the remake of this movie. Mainly because Johnny Depp is in it...and he's perfect for the role. Even moreso since I watched the trailer.

And holy shtein, this actually looks HILARIOUS

I loved the first one.

LOL...I won't see it for because he's in it.   :-D

Jim Carrey would have been a better choice IMO.

Are you kidding me? Johnny Depp is the ONLY one who could pull this off. Sorry.

You didn't read the book, did you?

I did actaully.  Now do you have a point or did it make you feel good to act all condescending?
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

You're right...what was I thinking to disagree with you?   ::)  I guess IMO means nothing to you?

As far as Depp being the ONLY one who can pull this off?  Thats a little extreme don't you think?

i'm looking forward to it. but the oompa loompas look like the farging monkees. that was one part that didnt need to be screwed with.

tim burton can't seem to make a decent movie without johnny depp. i like depp, but he plays essentially the same kind of character each movie. either some charismatic over the top guy, so some guy who's completley wasted for 2 hours.

Cool.  Have you read the books?  I hear people are enjoying it more who haven't, so I'm concerned.

My point is that Depp is perfect compared with the character in the book.  Willy's a very dark and mysterious character, and Carrey's twists towards the dark are not his best roles (ie: "The Cable Guy").  Carrey would be a great choice if they were just going to remake the Gene Wilder version again, sure.

Meet the Fockers -not as good as the first, but had its funny moments.

Lemeny Snickets - pretty dark for a rated PG movie.  jim carey was great as usual.  visuals were very cool.  overall id give it a 6 out of 10.

My mom wants to see it, so I'll go see it with her. Not because I can't find anyone else to go see it with, but so I can let you know which of us liked it more.

I'd have to go with "no" on that one, GF.

I rented Audition recently because a few people said it was this crazy movie that completely F's with your mind in the last half-hour.

Yea... ummm... they were either wrong or weak-minded.  ::)

That movie blew.
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

If I'm not allowed to be right about Dan Brown you're not allowed to be right about whatever the hell that movie is. :)

There's no such thing as right or wrong when offering an opinion.

Except for mine.

Which is always right.

Always.

PS- I still say you go get yourself TDVC or A&D. I think you'll enjoy them. Yessir, I do.

Clearly you're not familliar with The Chart. I'll spare you the details, but it shows that I'm always right. Then it lists other people who are right except with then disagree with me. I forget who those people are right now, but I'm confident The Chart is completely accurate.
