Rome

Creed was excellent.   I got choked up at the end when they showed the view down the Parkway.

God I miss Philly so much.

Rome

Star Trek Beyond was good.  Something was missing, though.  Can't put my finger on it but it just felt like no one was having any fun acting in it and there was no "soul" involved.

I'll give it a solid B.

SD

My 8 year old wants to see Lights Out...bad idea?

SD

We settled on Ghostbusters...it was horrible

Rome

Bourne was excellent.  Same old same old but that's why it's so great.  No bullshtein.  Just action, hot broads and cranky old white dudes trying to wipe his ass out.  Badly.

A+

But not as bad as this.

Don Ho

I'd think your 8 year old would need more therapy after sitting through 110 minutes of Melisa McCarthy then they'd ever need for Lights Out.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

Rome

haha. totally agree.  everything about that movie is just awful.

yes...but only in terms of being scary as shtein...theres no blood or anything like that

me and my girl always talk about how horror movies these days are most times pg-13 when they should be R...every real horror movie should automatically have nudity then enough gore to make it R....the standards in movie rating have changed so much......farging mystic pizza was R rated

I thought you were totally full of shtein with the Mystic Pizza comment, but I'll be damned, it was rated R.  And I can't think of a single reason why either.  I don't remember any nudity or violence, just some mild cursing.  Amazing.

Can't remember specifically, but back then the use of "farg" (or a certain number) would make it automatically an "R."

Rome

I remember Julia Roberts flipping out on the rich dude and pouring lobsters into his Porsche.  I think she might have said "farg" once or twice.  Not really sure, though.  But holy shtein that is not a Rated R movie.  No way, no how.  I mean PG-13 might be stretching things today.

straight outta compton - just dropped on hbo for those so inclined. a little disjointed and clearly a simplified, dumbed down version of what went transpired truncated to fit a movie narrative. but still pretty funny. sick beats. rip easy.

one thing that annoyed me was the quality of the gear nwa was wearing. in the 80s and early 90s, they didnt have the kinds of stuff they make today. like dre's dodgers  hat and jersey were not things available, really at all, in the late 80s.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

it's been on HBO for at least  a month now

also wrong on the gear...there is lots wrong with the gear in the film but quality and availability are not two of them
