Collateral - The story seemed intersting enough when I read it on Netflix but this had to be one of the driest, most boring movies I've ever seen.  Major let down for a Tom Cruise/Jamie Foxx movie.  It actually took me 3 tries to get through the movie seeing as I fell asleep during the first 2 attempts.

0.5/5

wow really? i remember seeing it when it came out and loving it.

I must admit that I strongly agree with IGY on "JFK."  Even after learning more about the holes in the conspiracy theory presented, I still find the movie extremely entertaining overall.  In fact, I am a notoriously impatient movie watcher and have a difficult time sitting through long movies in general, but JFK is the exception.  As IGY said, basically every performance is worth watching, even Costner's.

4.5/5, and all the rest of you can suck it.

P.S.  "Any Given Sunday" is also a very good, entertaining movie (3.5/5 at worst).

Any Given Sunday is very high on my list of worst movies ever.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

So, it's fair to say that you will not be lining up opening weekend to see "W"?

rjs246

Yes. That would be fair to say.

Here is a list of things that Oliver Stone has has succeeded in (or nearly succeeded in) ruining with his films:
1. The only genuinely interesting conspiracy theory I've ever come across.
2. Professional football.
3. A Quentin Tarantino screenplay about a homicidal couple (honestly, how do you farg up Natural Born Killers?),
4. Jennifer Lopez's ass (back when she was still extremely hot).

Here is the list of things that Oliver Stone tried to ruin but was incapable of ruining because it is unruinable:
1. Porn. shtein, even Courtney Love couldn't ruin porn. Behold! The power of porn!

farg Oliver Stone.

My problem with the W movie is that a proper view of history can not be made as it's still happening and will most likely be a joke because we're too close to the events.

Platoon was awesome.

Oliver Stone didn't direct "The People Vs. Larry Flynt".  Milos Forman directed that movie.

Yeah, pretty much.  If you take all of the horrible cliches from other football/sports movies and put them together you get "Any Given Sunday."  Not only was the story boring but I think Jamie Foxx was probably the only person who wasn't horribly miscast.

Al Pacino as a football coach?  Really?

Cameron Diaz as a franchise owner?  What?

And the uniforms that the Dallas team had on at the end of the movie was the worst looking thing I've ever seen.

I'm trying to figure out how this movie got nominated for a bunch of different awards and even managed to win a few.  Awful, awful, awful movie.  Terrible.  I hated it.

Rome

Everything about Any Given Sunday was wrong.  The acting was bad, the script was laughable, the casting was, well, as Sassy said, a little midget like Al Pacino was the head coach.   I mean, come on.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I agree.  Lawrence Taylor was barely believable as a football player with a drug problem.

Sgt PSN

That's how bad of an actor LT is.

Ha!  That and "The Program" are two of my guilty pleasure movies.  They both suck, and I thoroughly enjoy them both quite a bit.
