In my late teendom in the late '90s, I plunked down actual money to endure both truly craptastic fare (Batman and Robin) and self-prententious drivel (Thin Red Line). But the Worst Movie Ever Watched in a Theater award must go to Very Bad Things. The title should have tipped me off, but it was so vile I wanted a shower after leaving. — M

Though Peter Berg has redeemed himself since (especially with Friday Night Lights - the series), Very Bad Things remains one of the most repellant theatrical experiences I've been subject to. Hell yes.  So what if it's a musical?  Lots of throat-slitting fun for the whole family.

4/5.  (loses some points for unimportant love story and for laughable pinkish blood)

I think the fake looking blood may have been intentional since it's an adaptation of the play......which was phenominal.

i watched 21 and it was predictable corny.  i read the book and liked it a lot, even if it wasn't a "good" book, if that makes sense.  the casino action was pretty cool, but the standard sugary hollywood love story had to be thrown in.  a few funny parts, kate bosworth is hot, not much more.  worth renting but not in the theater.

You had to see it in the theater to figure that out?  The fact that the most creative name they could come up with for a movie about blackjack was "21" was all I needed to know that there probably wasn't much effort put into the actual movie itself.
