what was sin citys domestic gross

Domestic:  $74,103,820    46.7%
+ Foreign:  $84,630,000    53.3%
= Worldwide:  $158,733,820

But who cares? Doesn't matter to me if 10 people go to see it, if its entertaining to me thats all I care.

sounds about right

i would expect 300 to come in somewhere under that...but probably not by a lot

Under. Doesnt have the cast the Sin City had. Alba = $.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

the less the better...when Norbit and Stomp the Yard are getting #1 at the box office, i want a movie that draws flies

Two problems with that list.

2. Where is Citizen Kane?

ha.  that is the first thing I thought of.  Dude who wrote that list missed what was probably the most innovative movie in the history of film.

300 is like i said literally going to be a three hour cartoonish fight scene...with lots of decapitations and limb losing and slow motion blood spurts....boring....no thanks

you disappoint me IGY.

MDS

he does? were you expecting something else?

"Daddy's Little Girls" will be in the top 3 at the box office this weekend.  Guaranteed.

i cant see that movie making much money...its rated R right?...it will appeal to the matrix sin city set and they will hail it as the second coming and probably see it multiple times which will make it successful perhaps...but it wont have any kind of mass appeal...at least id be surprised if it did

300 is basically the love child of Lord of the Rings and Gladiator.

Two massive box-office failures.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I sure hope there isn't as much plot and character development.

300 is basically the love child of Lord of the Rings and Gladiator

not even close

lord of the rings/the hobbit et al is one of the most beloved pieces of american literature ever....300 is from some comic book or graphic novel no one has ever heard of

glaidator wasnt half cartoon and had at least a limited plot....300 is all war but instead of it being the civil war or vietnam its some crap from 10000 years ago that no one has ever heard of and even fewer people care about

like i said it will please its defined target audience but not much more...and theres nothing wrong with that

This is the third major film made about the battle of Thermopyle, one of the greatest defenses in the history of the world.  It's still taught in military schools.  It was even mentioned in The Last Samurai.  And Frank Miller has huge name recognition, even outside of the comic book geekdom (Return of the Dark Knight is something even sideliners have heard of, + Sin City).

It'll make mega-bucks, no doubt.
Anyone but Reid.
