I watched that movie Brick that someone here was pimping and thought it was pretty retarded.  Some loser high scholl douchebag goes on this crazy mad vendetta for no reason, I just thought it was stupid.

I'm the one who liked it, but your viewpoint also makes sense.

it had potential at first, but there just didn't seem to be a point to anything he did at all.  there was no reason for him to get involved with anything, and then within 2 days he becomes one of the top guys?  plus these were supposed to be high school kids, they just seemed to dramatic and adultish.

MURP

The Sentinel- average Michael Douglas drama/action flick-   :cfhead :cfhead

I watched Brick the other night. I liked it, partially because the main character is a nerd. But I thought it would have been better if it wasn't supposed to be taking place with highschool kids as the characters.

Either way, I want to watch it again without having to pay attention to every little detail just to understand what's happening.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I thought that's what made it more interesting.  I think the writer/director was trying to make it from the viewpoint of high school kids, where everything is blown out of proportion and a bigger worldview is out of the question.

I finally saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith last night.  Wasn't an award-winning flick, but I enjoyed it.

Besides, I got to watch Angelina Jolie for a couple of hours.  :yay

Saw The Sentinel last night. Okay movie. Does everything okay, does nothing quite good.

7.2/10
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

I saw Talledega Nights over the weekend.

i thought it was very funny.  it could've used some Vince Vaughn though

Vince Vaughn playing the French guy's life partner instead of Andy Richter?

The guy who played the owner is a good character-actor as a total prick, though.

I watched House of Flying Daggers tonight. I give it a resounding "meh."

The man. The myth. The legend.

Ziyi Zhang is one of the hottest girls out there. She is so unbelievably hot.

I've seen at least 3 movies this summer with previews for "The Guardian" - a coast guard movie starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher that seems to basically be a dirty rip-off of many other movies, although it's based on a true story.

Has anyone else seen the preview?  Is there any doubt in your mind that in that climactic scene, Costner's character dies saving Kutcher's character?  Movies are so predictable.
