Last night I started watching the prequels with my kids. I haven't seen episode 1 in like 10 years, but holy shtein it's about 1000 x worse than I remember.

yep....altho I fast forwarded thru much of the second half of it....its gets incredibly tedious and bogs down during the trials...should have been no more than 5 episodes and that might have been pushing it

first 2.5 eps are really good but the good parts aren't even top 20 best docs ever much less the whole thing being goat

I iked it better than the jinx and its very good but anything close to GOAT worthy is laughable...its the hot thing on social media right now tho so it must be the best

I follow under a hundred people and I saw it a lot....you follow what 5 or 6 hundred? so I know you had to have seen mad talk about it

Honestly hadn't mainly bc I've been back home and not online much

I logged into Netflix the other night while waiting for my mom and sis to get back from shopping. I actually watched the back to the future doc and one about session musicians from the 50-60s before I saw this one.

I liked the jinx but haven't gotten around to watching making a murderer. it was behind fargo on my list but that got sidetracked because I started re-watching GOT.

Worst of the franchise.

By far. So much of my anger was focused on jar-jar and the gungans that I basically forgot how awful the entire movie was.  I only watched it once and had no desire to see it again. The commentators for the pod race, the really terrible acting (especially by the kid), and just way too many attempts at forcing cheeky humor into practically every scene.  It was like watching a live action Disney movie for 8 year olds.....like The Pacifier or Spy Kids.

And as if jar-jar wasn't bad enough, I realized that you can basically blame everything on him. It's all his fault.  If he doesn't get in qui-gon's way, he never leads them to the gungan city and they never get a transport through the planet core. Maybe they never wind up on tatooine and met anakin. No anakin = no luke and leia = no vader = no ren = han solo would still be a happy smuggler trying to pay off jabba.

Lucas started farging up with the ewoks in ROTJ. They were supposed be wookies but no, he needed to sell more lunchboxes.

He def. continued with ep 1.  Clone Wars & ROTS were better but still some real cheesy dialogue and  of course, Hayden Christensen.

There is a good reason that the machete method of watching Star Wars eliminates episode 1 entirely.  Nothing that happens really does anything for the story.  You can watch episode 2 and it pretty much catches you up onto anything you need to know.
