American History X came on last night at 11pm, just as I was getting into bed.  I knew I shouldn't have started to watch it but I did anyway and watched the whole thing.  It was finally over at 1am and I realized, that is really the type of movie that you have to mentally prepare yourself to watch.  it's not one of those casual watching movies.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

MURP

Saw 2.   Not as good as the first one, but enjoyable anyway.   scream. bloody. gore.

Watched Bottle Rocket last night. i had seen it several years ago and liked but didn't love it, but my love affair with Rushmore and The Royal Tannenbaums inspired me to netflix BR and rewatch. Enjoyed the hell out of it. Not a great movie or classic in any sense, but very funny in that uniquely subtle way that Wes Anderson has mastered.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

i enjoyed the Wilsons' performances in that movie, as well as in most other movies

He unmastered it with Life Aquatic.

I disagree. I liked Life Aquatic. Not as much as the other three mentioned, but I thought it was humorous. So eat it.

I loved the Life Aquatic.

the scene where Goldbloom is telling Murray about how he got robbed and Murray just says, "probably the same dudes."

still makes me laugh.

phattymatty

actually just liked a lot, not loved.  it's no rushmore.

and The Royal Tannenbaums is crap.  tried to watch it 3 times and it sucked all three.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

The Fog Of War

Absolutely incredible documentary about former JFK Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara.

I'd seen it previously by just watched it again.  It's amazing to consider the brilliant minds that Kennedy surrounded himself with.  Sure, he was about as wrong as one could be about Vietnam, but in retrospect, his calm demeanor and sound counsel during the Cuban Missile Crisis helped save humanity from extinction.

Amazing flick if historical films float your boat.

Turner and Hooch was on TNT or TBS today.  I'd like to see a Turner and Hooch vs K-9 vs Top Dog fight to the death.  Of course, we all know Chuck Norris would win but it'd still be fun to watch.

I think those dogs are all dead now, so Chuck would win by default, then roundhouse kick the judge.

The man. The myth. The legend.

"Broken Flowers" - *SPOILER*

It's one of those movies with no resolution.  It's fairly well-made and deliberately slow-paced, but... meh.
