i loved Dark Knight Rises and immediately wanted to sit through it again.

i think start to finish it's the best of the series, although i know people will argue that because of Joker in TDK.

Bane was great, although the twist at the end was predictable.  everyone saying Hathaway was great is correct.

in all, i loved it and i want another one to follow up on the open ended story line although i know it's not coming
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

That definitely looks like something that works fine as a novel, but would probaly make a terribly boring movie.

It did work as a novel.

And the Wachowski's (Matrix) and the director of Run Lola Run & The International (Tom Tykwer) are co-directing.  Not exactly poor prior works.

It made for a terribly boring preview, I know that.  I didn't even make it through the full 5 min before stopping it.  And I'm guessing that this isn't going to be crammed inside of 90 min either.  I could see this movie being on the plus side of 2 hrs.

Yeah, that trailer seemed to go on forever. Like the one I saw for the Arthur remake.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I've never even heard of the book but from the 2 minutes or so I watched from the trailer it appears to be about reincarnation....or something along those lines.  It looks like it might be a well made movie and the production value should be excellent but it just seems like something that would drag on and on and on.  Maybe I'll check it out on Netflix or in another life.

Intricate & inter-woven stories aren't everyone's thing.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Last Friday

Supposedly coming out Dec 2013 and will bring back Chris Tucker as Smokey.

I'm sure it'll be funny, but does anyone really want to see Craig and Smokey 18 years later?

Unintentional, I'm sure.  But I still chuckled.

And agree on the OG.  But is it in your top 5?

Rome

It's either top 5 or top 10 all-time.  But probably like top 7 or so.

saw batman today. meh.

i laughed out loud at one scene where batman fell down out of nowhere and five guys with machine guns starting trying to hit him with their guns. um, you have guns guys.

and that bane voice. awful.

couldnt agree more...like i said in my review the movie was way to convienant in so many of the action/chase scenes....completely un-nolanlike

and maybe most uncomfortable of all in the movie were the catwoman one liners...she had so many duds where she was supposed to drop a hilarious line as they cut to a new scene ...but they instead were uncomfortably not funny
