Finally got around to seeing Moneyball.  It was alright.  Nothing special.  Honestly, I forgot about it 5 minutes after it ended.

3/5

Diomedes

That makes no sense.  If you forgot it, why are you posting about it?

Florida.
There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists." - Yosemite Park Ranger

SD

Old people tend to forget things immediately after they occur only to recall them a few days later. It's one of the first signs of alzheimers.

Rome

I meant it was eminently forgettable and definitely not worthy of Oscar consideration.   But you knew this.

all good things - movie/documentary style film about a ny socialites son who was suspected of killing his wife back in the 80's....pretty crazy mostly true story...some of the film was conjecture as no one knows what really happened but overall its a very good real life whodunit...ryan gosling and kirsten dunst are excellent as the leads

Just finished watching The Ides Of March.  Much better.  Evan Rachel Wood is hot and Gosling was far less irritating than he usually is.  I especially liked the part where she took one of the team, so to speak, amirite SD!?!

Clooney was great as a the sleazeball candidate.  He really should play bad guys more often.  Giamatti & Hoffman were fantastic although Hofmann basically played pretty much to type.  The dialogue was crackling too.

Solid 4/5.

PS: Even at 73 years old Marisa Tomei would get it high, hard & deep.

tomei also played a frazzled ny times reporter and that made her even more sexy

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

senna - excellent documentary about the legendary f1 driver...one thing i didnt like was that in an hour and 45 minute long documentary they glossed over his death in like four minutes....pretty bizarre...anyway its def worth a peep

I Melt With You.

Here is what I saw.  A decent cast with the following description:
Old college buddies Richard (Thomas Jane), Ron (Jeremy Piven), Tim (Christian McKay) and Jonathan (Rob Lowe) get together one weekend to reminisce about their glory days. As they leave their adult responsibilities behind, they lose control, lured into a getaway of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. Picking up the pieces, the men begin to question the wisdom of the choices they've made. Carla Gugino co-stars.

Why not, I'll give it a shot.

About 15 minutes in, I was thinking "Jermey Piven must have picked up this script and said 'You know, it has been a decade since I've done Very Bad Things'", and if it followed that formula, I would have enjoyed this movie quite a bit. However, shortly after watching them consume an amount of drugs that would make Matt blush, things take a terrible turn.

First, after taking the obscene amount of drugs, instead of the two normal courses of action: passing out or breaking shtein, the four guys are dancing by the fireplace.  The next morning, they are all hung over.  Instead of drinking some beers and doing more drugs, the four guys run to the beach strip off their clothes and frolic in the ocean together.  No homo.

Then the next 30 minutes is them taking about their feelings and bitching about their lives (even though 3 of the 4 of them are rich and the 4th, Tim, well... more on that in a sec) briefly interrupted by more drugs.  After that, they fool you and think you are getting back on the Very Bad Things track when Sasha grey makes an apperance with some blonde hottie, does more drugs and parties with the four guys.  But instead of her taking Jermey's Piven and ending up on a hook, she ends up in bed with Tim (the whineist and biggest loser of the bunch) and some guy (who is carressing Tim).  Oh, and they don't bang, Tim decides to break down and cry while Sasha Gray and her gay\bisexual guy friend comfort him.

The next day, Tim offs himself, and I decide to end this movie on a high note and hit eject.

I should have guessed where this movie was going just by the name, but was fooled by the description and cast.  Then again the entire time I thought Thomas Jane was Aaron Eckhart, so what the f do I know?
