I finally saw, and really liked, Inception.

Can we have another 10 page back and forth about Inception fanboys and the relative merits of the movie?

I saw The Adjustment Bureau on saturday night.  I liked it.  Damon and Blunt were really good, so was Terrance Stamp.

It was a bit slow at parts but overall is was a pretty original concept and well put together movie.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

You only like it because you think you are supposed to like it. Purplemonkeydishwasher.

I enjoyed it also.

Would you rather put it in Ellen Page's mouth, or ass? I say mouth.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Me too.  I was in between meh and liking it.  It was better than most movies are this time of year though, so if you're in the mood to go see a movie, you could definitely do worse.

Eh. Ass. But really, neither. She's a tiny little boygirl who does nothing for me.

Still. Ass.

Nicotina (spanish for nicotine).

If you like guy ritchie style, pseudo gangster movies, I'd highly recommend this one. Turn on subtitles if you don't understand spanish.

I watched the North Shore on HBO this morning. It's your basic 80's flick in the mold of a Rad or Thrashin. The Hawaiian chick (Nia Peeples) is bangin.

I pray Don Ho doesn't read this thread.  He might fly 6,000 miles just to kick your farging ass over this.

Might.

Saw Rango. Amazing computer animation, but really, really weird. If you get high, go and see it way. I can only imagine the drugs that went into making the movie. It wasn't bad...but it was offbeat, to say the least. And they squeezed every ounce of PG out of the movie, too. My kid liked it a lot, though. Not sure why, because it didn't seem all that much like a kid's movie to me.

I also saw Grown Ups. Awful...and not in a funny awful sort of way...just boring and pointless.

I hated Grown Ups....my face was baked off and I still didn't laugh once. Easily one of the worst comedies I've ever seen

638 Ways to Kill Castro - a doc about all the increasingly weird ways the CIA et al came up with to kill Castro.

Like loading a softball with explosives so it would explode when he hit it batting.  Very interesting, and spent a good deal of time putting in perspective why the US govt has such a perverse hatred of Castro.

Diomedes

why does the U.S. hate Castro?

a.) he took stuff from really rich American people
b.) he's mouthy
c.) he's communist
d.) he's pals with Chavez
e.) every time the U.S. tried to kill or overthrow him, he laughed it off

z.) he treats his people poorly
