I thought it was pretty straightforward aside from the Fisher part on the plane

It's likely that he vividly remembers the first layer but not much after that, except in his subconscious.  That's why they have to go to such a deep layer to plant the idea - so he doesn't know that he didn't create it himself.  Duh.

i saw inception in the theater and changed my mind about 5 times afterward whether i liked it or not. but i have no desire to ever see it again so i guess i didn't care for it that much.

saw 500 days of summer the other night. pretty good flick, charming without being corny and pretentious.
