The Town was Heat with lesser actors.  Maybe a little better written, but no less melodramatic.  Not impressed.
Also rewatched Inception.  Awesome.

I was home sick all day.  Also watched Eraserhead, which was farged up beyond all description.  I hated it, mostly because it was so farging bizarre.  Maybe I missed the point.
Severance, on the other hand, was great.  Dead Snow for slasher flicks.

Shutter Island was meh. The twist or whatever was basically telegraphed, but it wasn't awful and I'm not angry I spent time watching it. Subpar for Scorcese.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

social network was tremendous. took a mildly interesting story and made it into 2 hours of intense epic goodness. also im going on record as being the only person in recorded history to clap for phil from "the larry sanders show" when he popped up in 1 scene that movie.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I watched Black Dynamite yesterday. It was better than The Hebrew Hammer, not as good as I'm Gonna Git You Sucka. Plenty of topless women, though.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Tomahawk

I wonder what actual events inspired Sanctum. I bet it's that people have gone spelunking

Diomedes

Some much uglier people have gone spelunking, true.
There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists." - Yosemite Park Ranger

Hell, I've gone spelunking with friends who are hell bent on the activity.  And they all agree - diving underwater in a cave is farging crazy.
You can't carry tanks in, so you have to drag a pump.  And the guy that came up with the idea, died while cave diving.

No matter when it happens, it won't be surprising when Pacino dies.

every single favorite won

what is the point when the most random unpredictable awards show suddenly gets boring and predictable? how can i won?

also gervais was unbelievable but burned way too many bridges

who cares about predictability as long a they get it right...and the gg usually do...other than eisenberg not winning which was unrealistic as they werent giving the best actor award to a young american with a greasy jew fro over a saintly brit but they pretty much hit on everything else...which is not somthing you can ever say about the oscars

and holy shtein gervais was hysterical...the hfp prez reaction was priceless...and the the tim allen thing had me rollin

well some of us having slight gambling problems and tried to make sensible bets on a number of underdogs....none of which hit.

but yea im pretty sure nbc would rather die than let gervais host again. his shots at the tourist and the hfpa were unreal.

he destroyed the tourist for no other reason than angelina jolie is a farging bitch and deserves being taken to the woodshed any chance possible

because the movie itself was im sure horible but couldnt have been worse than alice in wonderland or red and was definitely better han burlesque

what a disgrace of a category and the one good movie in it wasnt even a comedy or musical

the kids are all right wasnt even good. at most its light barely enjoyable summer indie fluff with a couple of actors youve heard of before.

and that over drawn out applause to that fossil warren beatty was pathetic. anyone under 30 has no idea who that is unless they for some reason paid attention to the non halle scenes in bullworth. who gives a farg what he did in the 1960s. farg him.
