Kung Fu Hustle. Not what I expected. I expected an extension of Kung Pao but it was the opposite, a serious flick. Excellent movie though. Great characters, kung fu and some funny moments...like when the little boy gets his ass kicked...and pissed on.

I'll give it  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead

Skeleton Key - first hour was boring as hell, last 1/2 hour was a pretty good time  3/5

Saw King Kong yesterday.  Despite all the bitching and moaning about how long the flick was, the movie kept me from thinking about the time.  I'm definitely going to buy the DVD when it comes out.  I was definitely impressed.

MadMarchHare

I thoroughly enjoyed Kong as well.  The ice skating scene in particular was excellently timed and pulled off.
Jack Black sucked though.

I saw King Kong yesterday and I liked it a lot too.  The big monkey was so much more like-like than I imagined and the interaction between him and the chick seemed real.  I didn't think there were going to be so many other animal fight scenes, but they were all pretty bad ass.

I kind of felt like Adrien Brody's character didn't even ned to be there.  the girl was obviously more interested in the monkey than him. what a loser.

but overall i thought it was very cool.

and yes the time factor wasn't even an issue.  in fact, we snuck in and saw another movie rigth after it.  Rumor Has It sucked balls.

ice grillin you

ive never done this but do you even have to sneak...it seems to me there is not a chance in hell of being caught
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

phattymatty

nah, there's no sneaking involved.  i rarely ever go to the movies anymore unless i have a whole day off and no plans, so if i'm goign to pay $9 a movie, we usually see two right after one another.  usually just whatever is coming up next.

SunMo

sneaking isn't necessary, but Phatty so rarely is able to utilize his ninja stealth techniques, that he uses every opportunity possible.

MURP

heh, i've often wondered about that.  I guess the pimply faced workers wouldnt care anyway.

the theater i go to is huge and always crazy busy, and they take your ticket when you get in the building, so once you're past that person you could basically stay there all day if you wanted to.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith - sucked.  I don't care what anyone says, that movie sucked...I kept waiting for it to get good, and it just never did.  I especially liked how they were going up against SWAT guys, yet none of them were wearing vests.   ::)

Batman Begins - loved it.  Great and interesting take, and they found a perfect Batman.  I'm not sure if another's coming out, but if it is, it's one of the few times I will actually visit the theater.

They've already cast a sequel to Batman, obviously the Joker is the villain.  I can't remember the guy's name, but he is playing the albino assassin in the soon to be released DaVinci Code - tall, lean and pale, should look good for the part.  We'll see how the writing/acting goes, the Joker's a tough character to get right.

In other news, it sounds like The Hulk sucked so bad, they won't bother to make a sequel, according to SHH.

that blows about the Joker.  The original rumor i heard was Crispen Glover.  He would have ruled.  ah well.  we'll see what happens.

oh yeah, and the Hulk sucked ass!

I saw Kung Fu Hustle the other day.  I enjoyed it.
