Saw Couples Retreat and liked it more than I thought I would. I wouldn't rush out to see it again, and I'll probably forget seeing in in the not-too-distant future...but it wasn't all that bad as far as  take-the-wife-to-a-movie movies go.

really? i thought it was awful.  might have chuckled a few times but i don't understand how a lot of people think it was funny.

I think a lot of that is context. If I went with a buddy, I'd have been horrified. But I went with the wife expecting nothing because it had been crushed in the reviews, so any chuckles were bonus chuckles. Two-star movie with a few laughs that was more forgettable than painful.

Preston and Steve is having a showing of Megashark vs Giant Octupus...

Lamas and Debbie Gibson at their best.

Paranormal Activity-

If you suffer from Vertigo or are succeptable to it...you're gonna be farged unless you sit at the back of the theater, making the screen smaller or wait until it comes out on VHS.

Cool concept, a creepy part or two, overall, meh....I was expecting for it to be a fright fest....just did not live up to the hype.

6 of 10 (maybe 7 once my stomach settles down).

I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

well...sports life kinda sucks when you love two teams that are only capable of making it to their respective conference/league championship series and promptly flame out soon thereafter. I can't wait for Kobe to get hurt this year so that I can officially hate sports and move on to actual things that matter in life.

Couples Retreat - went with the girlfriend last weekend and it was entertaining. A good date night movie, but nothing more. A few laughs, but I probably wouldn't watch it again.

2012 - 5/10

The theater has been packed the last two days because of this. We bypassed it last night due to the ridiculous line. So we went tonight and it was still crowded as hell. The movies are quickly getting up there with Wal Mart in the terms of rude, idiotic and trashy people. The fargfaces who brought the infant and 3yr old and sat behind us tonight...get a goddamn baby sitter. Or don't come out to the movies. And the teenagers. God help me if my kid ever turns out to be one of those disrespectful punks that I see there a lot.

Anyways...this was an Armageddon type movie except didn't have as many cheesy parts. There was some cheese, but nothing vomit inducing. It was pretty much what I thought it would be - a whole lot of CGI stuff that didn't even look remotely real. Some of it was cool and the premise was good.

But it could have been much better.

I want to see 2012 but the trailers for "Avatar" are awesome.  Done by the original director of the Terminator movies James(?) Cameron.
