Jesus, IGY, did you see the same movie I did?

They (Batman and Gordon) martyred Dent.  Whether he's actually alive or dead was never clearly shown.  But they sold him as a man who died for his principles, and his legend will carry on without him.

Until he breaks out of Arkham and starts committing crimes as Two-Face.  And Batman stops him.  Movie #3.  It will be interesting to see who they add to the mix for that one.  Penguin and Riddler would be poor choices, IMO.  But Bane - following more or less in the Broken Bat scenario - that would be something.  Except for the mystical cure of his severed spine at the end, that was farging weak.
Anyone but Reid.

it made 155, 4 mil more than spidey 3 made so its got the all time record.

yay big business!
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Saw Walk Hard this afternoon. I hadn't watched a new (to me) comedy since I saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall months ago. I don't know why that is, but I'm guessing it's probably because Judd Apatow and Vince Vaughn are the only people in Hollywood right now who make me laugh.

Anyway, despite the fact that Apatow co-wrote this it didn't make me laugh. I chuckled a few times and it definitely wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen and Jenna Fischer definitely needs to catch some rjs babies on her chin, but I will never watch it again and don't think that any of you will have missed anything if you never see it.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

if my unfunny you mean hilarious, i agree

you aren't one to judge funny
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Pineapple Express looks relatively awesome. And yes, Sarah Marshall was funny. Smart too, I thought.

Anyone see TDK in IMAX?  I think it might be worth it.

The BIGSTUD

I thought TDK was the same as Batman Begins for me. No better, no worse. That said, I liked Batman Begins a heck of a lot. TDK was a good movie, but I wasn't blown away by any stretch. I thought the pacing of the movie left a little to be desired, and there wasn't really a climax IMO.

Still, very enjoyable movie. Ledger was awesome, but he wouldn't be getting nearly as much recognition if he was still alive. Sad, but true.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

I loved Batman Begins, it's on right now actually. I've watched and read anything Batman since I was a kid.

I've been trying not to read a lot of the last few pages of this thread though, especially after seeing rjs's WITH SPOILERS comment. One thing I'd like to know though, is the tumbler in this one?

Best batmobile since the 1966 tv version, imo.

rjs246

The Tumbler is definitely in this one.

I figured it was. Just with the way the last few Batman's have changed it for every single movie, I was wondering if they would keep it the same.

Seems like every other Batman movie changed the car so they could get more money off of selling merchandise. It cheapened the lore of the Batmobile.

I can't wait to see this movie. If it's getting decent reviews from all the hardassed, miserable bastiches on this board, it must be a good movie. 8)

the farther away i get from seeing it the more i agree with cole...it basically was as good or maybe even a little less good than batman begins...the thing that really elevated tdk was of course ledgers performance
