Was feeling a little down so I decided to watch/listen to Rage Against The Machine - Live At Finsbury Park.

Not feeling depressed anymore.

Holy shtein those motherfargers can bring it when they want to.  They need to settle their petty squabbles and get their asses back together because we need them now more than ever.

new kanye is pretty dope. it's a little gospel-y and a few tracks sound like they were mixed in a garage, but even with all of that, it's solid.

it's definitely no MBDTW but i have a feeling it's going to grow on me after a few listens. grab it.

Alright, most of your probably already know this (I've been using it for a bit now, but just thought of putting it on here), and it may have even been posted, but my library uses the Fregal online service.  You just have to log in through your library card, and you can download a certain number of songs per week (mine is six, resets on Monday).

Not all artists are on there, but there is a decent cross-selection of genres.  I believe the service has agreements with certain record companies (I believe Columbia is one).

I can't give you a link, because it would be through your library website.  Just check for Fregal on the library's online services.

Rome

Our library has hundreds of CD's available.  I just download them to my computer.  Freegal has a really limited selection of music I like.  I think I may have downloaded 50 songs from it over the years.  It's a good service, though.

Radio stations sorted by decade and nation. Kinda neat. I'm listening to some Polish 80s disco nonsense for some reason.

Munson

The new Blink 182 songs sans douchey Tom Delonge dropped. It sounds like what you'd expect 40 year old pop punkers (they replaced Delonge with Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio) to sound like--catchy hooks, decent music considering it's the same four chords, and no more obvious sex jokes or references like their late 90's heyday. Just thinly veiled ones.

Goldfinger's lead man did the producing, and he's done a lot of polished albums that are out these days, so the sound is predictably big and very polished/crisp.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
