Herbstreit doesn't really hate Penn State that much, because they weren't even in the Big Ten yet when he went to school.  He does, however, love the Buckeyes, so his wishful thinking is that they can still salvage a Big Ten championship.  I just don't see it happening, because MSU has really declined as this season progressed.

He was on ESPN radio a few months ago and called PSU the most overrated college program ever. Sounded like a bitter icehole to me.
