Don't worry MDS.  Dexter will be back in September and all will be right.

Quality show there. The top shows that I watch are being twiddled down. The Wire and Curb have 10 episodes left, Scurbs has 18 left,Lost has 3 season of 16 that don't start until February, 24 sucked ass last year, Deadwood and The Sopranos are done. It's left to really The Office, 30 Rock and Friday Night Lights, with the last two being shows that are barely getting second seasons. Wahhhhhhh.

I thought Deadwood was doing a two-hour special at some point?

Maybe. Probably not at this point. And this replacement show, John From Cincinnati, had an uneven pilot and is not getting good reviews. I'm gonna give it a few more looks, but I'm not optimistic.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Figured this would happen. Chase hates closure. I doubt they're making a movie, so this is it.

I didn't think the episode was all that bad. The characters continued to be solidifed in who they are, which is good, but the final shot is Meadow coming into the diner. Odd choice, even though she's bangin.

yea

Susquehanna Birder

I just saw the end again (getting ready to watch Big Love), and she was running toward the restaurant, and then it cut to Tony's face as you hear the bell ring at the door.

Susquehanna Birder

And it was the HBO (East) HD program, I believe.

SunMo

yup, saw the same thing
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

MDS

Maybe it was just one broadcast, because me and Phreak saw it, and so did some others? I don't know.

Me three.

I just ran to Borders and dug out Journey's greatest hits from the archives.  I'm pretty sure I will never be able to listen to that song the same again.

I wonder how those guys feel about having two of their songs indelibly linked to one of the greatest series of all time and also one of the greatest comedies of all time.

MURP

I hit rewind on after the credits started to watch the last scene again.   Last thing on regular HBO was Tony's face looking up, then cut to black.  no meadow.

The BIGSTUD

Your mind just made you think you saw it out of anticipation. There was no Meadow walking in the diner.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

MDS

I know what I saw. And either way, it's irrelevant.

PhillyPhreak54

Damn, now I am second guessing myself. But I swear I saw her face come in that door and then it cut to Tony staring at something. I talked to my boy today and he said he saw it too.

MDS

ok well here is an interview with chase: http://blog.nj.com/alltv/2007/06/david_chase_speaks.html

but this is all you need to know: "I have no interest in explaining, defending, reinterpreting, or adding to what is there," he says of the final scene.

so blah.
