THE SOPRANOS (HBO) - According to promos that ran before the pay channel's presentation of "Empire Falls" over the weekend, the long-delayed sixth season of the mob drama will premiere in March of 2006. In addition, newcomer "Rome" was specified as premiering in September of this year.

Hopefully this doesnt get delayed. Remember, Chase hasn't declared this the final season yet. He's having second thoughts about taking a crap load of money from HBO and making a 7th.

SOPRANOS WATCH: Just when David Chase thought he was out, HBO pulls him back in. As recently reported, The Sopranos creator is talking to HBO about doing a seventh season of the mob hit. (The show's sixth season, which is currently in production and scheduled to premiere next spring, was widely believed to be the last.) Now TVGuide.com is hearing that one scenario being tossed around has Chase tacking on an additional six or so episodes to the shooting schedule and doing an abbreviated seventh season — à la Sex and the City. Hey, I'll take whatever I can get.

Season 6 starts March 12, 9pm

the trailers look really good for this upcoming season, but they were pretty misleading for Season 5, so I'm not taking much out of them this time.  I'm just glad to be getting new episodes.

There's going to be 12 episodes starting in March, then another 8 that are going to be shown in January of 2007, similar to what Sex and the City did.  So, while we waited almost 2 years for Season 6, you will only have to wait about 6 months for the last 8 episodes of the show.

the other night, the season 5 episode called, "The Test Dream" was on.  I have watched that a few times and I still can't figure out what the hell that dream was about.  Anybody have any ideas?
