mathews is nothing special & had those 2 horrible fumbles...but you gotta protect your rookie qb & give mathews some runs early in games.  sproles is a guy you mix in, not give the ball to in short yardage.  dumb doug has to know that.  hell, if he hates mathews that much, use barner in that role.  but you have to run the ball.

I hate the stretch runs in general but using them in short yardage situations is especially infuriating.  You pay those fat fargs up front millions to open up holes so let them smash some faces in.  If they can't, fine.  Get players who can.
