Most teams aim for a balance between the run & the pass so as to create a "defensive dilemma": do you put 8-in-the-box to stop the run but open yourself to the play-action pass, or do you drop the safety back in order to defend the pass and trust that your front seven can contain the run.

This team does things a little differently.  Reid creates the "defensive dilemma" not as stated above, but rather by using the skills of two players, Owens and Westbrook:  do you dare put a LB on Westbrook whom he can almost always beat, or do you put a DB on Westbrook and allow Owens to exploit your weakened secondary.

Since this matchup can only be fully exploited via the passing game, I'd expect to see McNabb continue to throw 40+ times a game.  He may even set the pass attempts mark (655 by Warren Moon).
