good to see the pats rookie offensive lineman becoming an all pro in his first game while danny engine house 9 watkins cant get on the field

The Pats didn't want to play him. Injuries forced him into action.

Seriously, your alarmist attitude about this stuff is sometimes just confusing.

So you're saying that the Pats draft better depth than the Eagles do starters?

YES!

But seriously, I don't think Solder played great or anything. And I don't know how good/bad Watkins would look in there. My assumption is that Reid/Mudd felt giving the fireman his first two NFL starts in unfriendly dome environs was not a good way to give him confidence. I think he will be in the starting lineup after the bye.

Sgt PSN

At least the Pats drafted him ahead of the Eagles pick. Had they drafted afterwards it would be down right comical.

MDS

ill give yall a hint

his name begins with a homer and ends with a J
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

this is true

That depends....does Watkins dress up like a clown and do birthday parties?

And I'm not even close to being as down on the guy as you are and I hope that the guy turns into a player. But for the Pats to move up in the draft and take a guy who was intended to be OL depth and watch him play a very good game against a good pass rusher just pisses me off to no end. But the Eagles are "all in."

Don't mention the "beginner at football" thing again, unless you want to put away your rager for JPP and latch onto Graham.

It's ironic that a few of you are gobbling all over the draft picks of New England, when a lot of Pats fans have been highly critical of NE's past five drafts or so.

General_Failure

I'd be critical, too, if the Eagles had gone from winning the Superbowl three out of four years to not making or losing it. I'd blame the rookies, the free agent signings, the assistant coaching purge, IGY, MDS, Lurie, and secretly myself for not believing in them hard enough.

i didnt see anyone talking about any new england drafts....but please dont bring up the opinions of patriot fans again...they are red sock fans who jumped on the pats bandwagon and dont know the first thing about football much less draft picks

General_Failure

You'd think they'd have learned something in the ten years the Patriots have been relevant.
