Is it possible that the down and distance graphics were there, but you were just too drunk to notice?

thats entirely possible.

I watched all the games at a sports bar yesterday, and I don't know if it's different through satellite, but none of the games had the down and distance on the screen at all times.  was pretty annoying actually, you never knew what it was if you were trying to watch multiple games at once.

Fox games showed it before the play in the format we're used to seeing (by the quarter and time remaining) while the offense was in the huddle, but moved it to a field graphic once the huddle broke and they lined up. It was annoying.

NFL Gameday on the NFL Network was excellent. Deion can be annoying, but he's a lot better on the NFL Network than he was on CBS. Not as annoying as he was. The highlights are extensive, Rich Eisen is great and the highlight music is very cool.

That will be my weekly highlight home from now on.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Football America is on too early. Starting a 7, the late game is usually in the 4th. If its a good game, who the hell is watching that? Start it a 7:30 and move the game to 8:30.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i'm pretty lost in all of this.  does anyone have a map  i might borrow.

phattymatty

still not sure about having 2 games on a monday, but did anyone else think the crew for the second game was really good?  possibly one of the best teams so far.  far and away better than the early MNF crew.

General_Failure

They were easy enough to ignore while watching the game, at least. For that alone, I liked them.

i'm confused by these thursday games that are starting.

are they only going to be shown on nfl network?

SunMo

they will be shown on local affiliates for the teams that are playing
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

phattymatty

so if you're in a city whose team doesn't play, and you don't have satellite, you can't watch them?

MDS

yes. its called the nfl is being gay. i have nfl network at home not at apartment, so im good for thursday. but thats about it.

that is farging gay and makes no sense.  so 90% of the country is not going to be able to watch the thanksgiving night game.

MDS

umm yea pretty much. the nfl is trying to up the interest/ratings for their own network and feel putting live games is the only way to do so. basically, they want millions of people to complain to their cable companies to put some channel they will watch rougly 6 times a year. it might work.

I'm a bit surprised, but the Thursday night games will be on TSN up here in the Great White North.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.
