I went to high school with him; we played high school basketball together. He looks more beastly now than he did in high school.

Yeah... he is done carrying the rock 200+ times a year, But he would sure be nice to have on short yardage and goal line situations.

I'm a big fan of the Cole/Tapeh backfield.

Did The Murderous Fro dunk it on him? :D

Willie Ponder should be claimed on waivers. Don't know if theyd get him - but they better try. A very good KOR

General_Failure

They should have a good shot at waiver wire pickups this year, right? Bad record last year and all that.

Def, bro. I made him quit basketball and move to Michigan because of my afro-greatness. He was absolutely jealous of my mop top.

You almost have to feel sorry for Gaffney. He went from being an assumed starter to fodder on a team that was desperate for receivers.

I remember a game last year on Sunday night when the Texans were playing.  Bob Trumpy the color man on the radio was ripping Gaffney a second butt-hole.  Was about one second away from calling him a Hoyda.  Wouldn't go over the middle, hesitant, lethargic.  Another first round WR bust.  I thought he just wanted out of Houston and would come here with something to prove.  Guess not.

Bad information by Trumpy then. Gaffney was a 2nd round pick.

Texans | Team signs R. Dayne
Sun, 3 Sep 2006 16:07:33 -0700

Bill Williamson, of the Denver Post, reports the Houston Texans have agreed to terms with free agent RB Ron Dayne (Broncos). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Good news because I didn't want him.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

Suggs was claimed by the Dolphins

That sucks.  Westy/Buck/Perry should be good enough for the playoffs this year.

That sucks.  Westy/Buck/Perry should be good enough to barely make the playoffs this year.

I agree.

The silence is deafening.

I thought the Birds would at least bring a few guys in for at least a look see.

I thought Davenport especially would have come in for a work out. Surprised to see zero teams taking any interest in that guy.

Down here in D.C I don't get much info on the Birds anyways, anything going on in the media up there about someone they may be looking at?
