4 Eagles no shows at golf event

I suppose this is hardly news, but it does certainly make the team as a whole look like schmucks a bit.

The no-shows were Brian Dawkins, Jeremiah Trotter, Hank Fraley and Hugh Douglas, who was to have been the special guest host with Lerner at the filming, scheduled for 8:30-10 a.m. at Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Golf Club in Blackwood, Camden County.

The two players who did show, Jon Runyan and Koy Detmer, were left to face questions about their missing teammates, although Dawkins did leave a message through the Eagles that he would not attend.

"There's not much you can say," said Detmer, clearly embarrassed, after spending a half-hour on his cell phone trying to round up a teammate.
