Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i can guarantee those teams wouldn't trade the rookie of the year for a small chance at a top pick

the lakers are likely NOT going to fall out of the top 5 this year. in 15-16, they will have: kobe, julius randle, top 5 pick, $$$ for FA, and the utter desperation to put a decent production on the court since this is LA and nobody is patient for anything.

so really the sixers traded mcw for what will turn out to be a pick in the teen's. awesome sauce, hinkie. dont stop believing, sheep. winning is just around the corner...in a few years.....

"Rookie of the year"...the same year Anthony Bennett went #1 overall. That draft class is horrendous...he was ROY by default. He has nice intangibles but he can't shoot worth shtein and his D his bad.

Your second half I 100% agree with. If the pick is not a lottery pick this is a bad move.

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

top 3

but i just dont see the lakers being that bad next year. who knows if theyll make the playoffs, but they are definitely going to try really hard to.

yeah kobe coming off of shoulder surgery taking up most of their cap, brian shaw coaching and no other discernable talent...the lakers should be pretty good next year

they owe kobe a ton but thats really it

again, they have randle, a top 5 pick and will have some $$$ to spend. they dont want to keep losing and they know they wont have a 1st round pick. its easy to see how they will try very hard to win next season.

lakers are going to be awful next year....Kobe a hundred years old coming off three straight season ending injuries and is a cancer to the point that no one in the nba wants to play with him

The rest of the roster is an abomination

Oh they are also in the west

There's more chance the pick is protected than that it's not in the top ten

yea thats what leads me to believe it will still be a lotto pick...just not in the top 5. we're a year away and a ton can happen, but the lakers do not want to be irrelevant for another year.

anyway they cleared out mcw to get muiday/russell and picked up an extra pick in the process. hinkie is a genius!

He didn't think mcw was the answer at the point....absolutely no reason to keep him...whether he's right about his future as a player we will see but especially at that position there's no need to prolong it one day further than you need to

So you keep acquiring picks to raise your odds of hitting on players that will be in your future plans...we are a mere 16 months into this...still the baby step stage...strap in and enjoy the ride

i get why he did it....i just dont enjoy being sold a bunch of empty promises by a guy with no track record of success who decided yesterday that the talent he did pick wasnt good actually good enough for his grand master plan

so instead all we have is draft picks that might or might not pan out in decent players, an injured big man and a piece of eurotrash. you can see my skepticism.

Funny how when Chip doesn't think Pimp is the answer, he gets crucified for releasing him, yet when Hinkie does the same thing with MCW, it's all good with you.

You're an enigma wrapped in a riddle, Sir.
