i thought the episode was pretty good. the show is stupid but its fully in a zone of knowing what it is right now.

I knew Carver was joining the show, just didn't know what episode.  Funny thing was that at one point in the show, I said something to my girl about how no one seems to notice or care that Beth isn't there. Maggie hasn't asked for her and Daryl hasn't said anything about losing her. Then like a minute later they've got Carol and Daryl going after her.

I'm thinking that Gabriel's secret is that he locked himself in the church and left his congregation outside to die.

If you go back and watch the premiere in the very beginning where there's all the voice over conversation while they prepare to fight their way out of the train car, you here Daryl talking about the car that drove off with her, presumably to Maggie.

If you go back and watch the premiere in the very beginning where there's all the voice over conversation while they prepare to fight their way out of the train car, you here Daryl talking about the car that drove off with her, presumably to Maggie.

I did catch that, but I thought it was odd that there wasn't a big scene made about it with Maggie reacting to it, especially after they got away.  You'd think that when Rick and Sgt Slaughter were talking about which way to go, Maggie would have stepped in and been like "Uh, can we try and find my sister?"  And Daryl's character has basically been about protecting the group and being very passionate about not losing people. Thought he would bring it up too, especially since he lost her.

It's a southern church and Gabrielle definitely had a thing for the white chick-turned-zombie at the food bank, so the thought of people hating on him for personal choices also crossed my mind, but I don't think the writers would bring that type of social dynamic into the show.

just finished the shield....the ending was everything everyone said it was....probably the best ending of a show ive seen

show in general wasn't great tv but its watchability factor was off the charts...preposterous but super entertaining....its basically scandal for men

as accurate as it can get...fun show with a insanely good ending but overall just ridiculous and cartoonish

as you did i watched the shield largely after it aired, and you miss problems with the show that way, so if anything the show comes out better. when you watch week to week, season to season its a much different view.
