Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteJason Peters was fined $10,000 for his involvement in the fight that followed taterskins nose tackle Chris Baker blocking Eagles quarterback Nick Foles to the ground in Sunday's game, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Peters' fine was for unnecessarily striking an opponent in the head area after the play was over, according to the NFL office. While the league ruled that Baker's hit was legal and that he would receive no further discipline, he was fined $8,268 for grabbing an opponent by the face mask.

QuoteIf everything goes according to plan, the Eagles will have Jason Kelce and Evan Mathis back on November 10 against the Panthers.

Kelce is a little over a week removed from sports hernia surgery and is getting around well. He expects to be jogging by the end of the week and will begin lifting again once the inflammation goes down. The typical recovery time for this injury is a six-to-eight weeks. While it's too early to know precisely when Kelce will be back, he has targeted the Monday night game against Carolina for his return, which would be just shy of the six-week mark post-surgery.

That happens to be the first game Mathis is eligible to play in. The All-Pro guard sounds very confident that he'll be ready for that game.

The Eagles have four games between now and then: at home against the Rams and Giants and road tilts in Arizona and Houston. They could be getting two valuable pieces of the front back to kick off the second half of the schedule.

Kelce explained that he has been dealing with the sports hernia to some extent for "probably my whole NFL career." He began really feeling it this year after the opener against Jacksonville, and it got progressively worse. It tore fully in-game against Washington.

Don't know but I was just reading an article on Philly.com where he was being asked about why he and the team aren't running well...to which he wasn't really willing to say much.

Any time a player talks about rushing for 2000yds I cringe

That was the precursor to him having a zesty running season

ice grillin you

the precursor was his touches last year...rarely can running backs come back with a super productive season after that amount of carries....you could tell right way this year and I think I mentioned it in a game thread that he didn't have his normal giddy up

it was really evident on that run i think in the 3rd qtr....cut back around but couldnt hit the corner. bethea caught up to him. that never happens.

hes not finished, but he needs to be more north-south. also better blocking would help.

True Shady doesn't have the same pop in his step. What he could really use with this OLine is a good fullback once in a while. Too bad Chip won't lower himself to that.
