In the not too distant future, those Chinese workers will be replaced by American robots. Then we won't have to worry about how little Foxconn is paying the workers, because it won't be paying them anything.

I know that the Chinese shut down for like six weeks for Chinese New Year. If you want product you best get it before that or else you'll be delayed. They trek back to their hometowns and a lot just say farg it and don't return.

Just to reiterate, I'm getting the 6-Plus because I'm a trend-sucking consumer whore.

And they're cool looking.

LOL @ every other phone in the universe.

i'm currently on my 4th iphone 5 so going to wait a bit to make my job pay for another one.

and every one of my bank accounts has been pimping iPay big time. i can't imagine many people rushing to throw all their bank account info into iCloud after the fappening. also how hard is it to pay for something the normal way.

Seabiscuit36

Well considering Verizon's version of iPay is called ISIS, iPay has to be getting a few more recuits.

I don't think ISIS is exclusive the Verizon, but rather American Express.  When I got my Galaxy S5 (on AT&T), I received a $50 ISIS gift card from Amex.

Each has their pros and cons.  Now that I've had my Galaxy for a few months, I'd say all in all they're about even and it really comes down to personal preferences.  Here's my dorky review/comparison between the 2.

iPhones and iOS are way more stable.  My Galaxy can be a little glitchy from time to time.  Nothing terrible, but sometimes the phone doesn't want to respond to your commands.  Significant advantage to Apple, but so far pretty insignificant to me.  I could totally see some people considering this to be a deal breaker with the Galaxy.

Apple Store >>>>> Google Play.  The content is pretty much the same as there aren't many apps/books/music that aren't available on both.  But the iTunes just has a better look, design and layout.  Google Play looks like a kid developed it.  iTunes is also a great ecosystem in comparison to Google Play.  You can manage everything about your phone through it.....contacts, calendar, photos, videos, documents, apps, etc.  I have to manage contacts and calendar through my google account, apps through the Play store, and files through Android File Transfer.  Setting up my new phone on a Mac was a major pain in the ass.  Also, Google really couldn't come up with a better name than "Play?"  It's a stupid name.  Significant advantage to Apple, but now that I've got everything set up properly it's not a big deal to me.

Where my Galaxy S5 blows the iPhone out of the water though is what it can do.

I use my phone quite a bit for work when I'm out of the office, so being able to split the screen and view an email on 1 side and a spreadsheet on the other is farging great.  It's also really good for personal use too, like if I'm browsing the web and texting with my squaw.  I can do both at the same time rather than jumping back and forth between the 2.  Major advantage to Galaxy and very important to me.

Predictive text.  I notify my drivers of their schedule for the next day via text message and the phone predicts what I'm going to type next based on previous messages that I've sent.  Since I'm more or less texting the same thing to my drivers every day, the predictive text is basically like an autofill.  A list of words pop up that I can click on so that I don't have to type the entire thing out.  What took me a half hour to do on my iPhone takes me less than 10 minutes now.  Not sure if the new iPhone will have the same feature, but if it doesn't, then major advantage to Galaxy and very important to me.

Simultaneous use of the front and rear facing cameras.  I can take pics and videos using both cameras at once.  Cool feature that I plan on using whenever I decide to make a sex tape, but otherwise it seems kind of useless.  Minor advantage to Galaxy, insignificant to me.

16mp camera on Galaxy vs 8mp on iPhone.  I've never been much of a photo junkie, but when I do take pics or video, I'd like for them to be nice.  And lets face it, people in general love taking pics of every farging thing in the world now so photo and video quality is important to consumers and the Galaxy is by far better than iPhone.  Major advantage to Galaxy, moderately significant to me.

I can write on my phone with my finger instead of typing.  This is a feature I use far more often on my tablet than my phone.  I didn't buy the Note 3, so I don't have a stylus, so trying to write on my phone with my finger is kind of stupid.  But the stylus feature with my Galaxy tablet is farging awesome and I imagine it's just as bad ass on the Note 3.  Aside from being able to hand write notes, I can hand write an email which it will then convert into text.  This is awesome because I hate trying to type on a tablet.  I can also use the stylus to capture images from the web and insert them directly into messages or email.  Major advantage to Galaxy, significantly important to me.

Customization.  Other than changing your wallpaper, ringtones, contact photos, and notification settings, there's not much customization you can do with an iPhone.  With Android phones you can install widgets (most of which are admittedly pointless and are a battery suck) for news, weather, facebook/twitter, your calendar, sports scores, etc, etc.  You can also install various launchers to change the overall appearance of your phone's home screen(s).  There are different icon packs to change the look of your app icons.  They don't make the phone function any better, so it's just an option for aesthetics, but they offer a means of really tweeking the look of your phone without rooting (jailbreaking) it.  It's a minor advantage that a lot of people have gone ga-ga over.  Minor advantage to Android, pretty insignificant to me....but I still like it.

I'd honestly prefer to go back to an iPhone (and iPad) because I like the all inclusive Apple ecosystem.  But I also want my phone to do more.  My complaint about iPhone and iOS is that they really haven't done anything groundbreaking or revolutionary since they were introduced.  It's still basically the same exact phone in a slightly different wrapper.

Anxiously awaiting the didn't read.gif responses.

There's everything else and then there's Apple.

It's like a Mercedes.  Since I'm too poor to own one of them (ironically from buying stupid shtein like iPhones) I buy this.

PS:  didn't read.

If you're bought into the Apple ecosystem and don't want to customize the phone, get an iPhone. If you don't give a shtein about Apple stuff, getting  something like a Galaxy is a no-brainer. There's no right or wrong answer; they both essentially do the same shtein. I hate iTunes and I like my phone to look and act like I want, so I have an Galaxy. If somebody wants an iPhone (and a billion people do), though, whatever. Have at it. One isn't clearly better than the other, except for personal use and preference. Oh, and price. iPhones are comparatively expensive, bang for the buck-wise.
