Phils drafted Aaron Nola, RHP from LSU at #7.

Likened to Jake Peavy on the MLB network.

Don Ho

"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

hes probably the best pitching prospect in the organization right now, which is terrific. go jessie biddle. go throw strikes.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Munson

Kieth Law tweeted he predicts Nola will be the first starting pitcher in this draft class to pitch in the bigs

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

J. P. Crawford (last year's #1) is doing pretty well in Lakewood.  A long way off, but a good prospect.

PhillyPhreak54

Well farg...if Keith law likes him then he's destined to suck

MDS

the talking heads didnt LOVE him, they just think hes going to be solid and has major league ready stuff. its just not that good.

But he worked himself into one of the most dangerous hitters in the Bigs.

That's as egregious an overstatement as anyone over complimenting Rollins.

Smith was an all-time defensive shortstop, and credit him for working to become an acceptable offensive shortstop, but come on.  Ozzie was a slap hitter who hit over .290 twice in 18 years.  Perfectly acceptable offensive production for someone given his defensive abilities but one of the most feared hitters?  By who?

romey is completely out of his mind....even more than usual
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

Fastball 91-94.  I think Hart said he didn't have the "best stuff," but was the most polished.  Pretty much what Todd said.

i rarely value what these people say, in baseball you honestly rarely have any idea any these guys will turn out. for all we know this kid could be kyle kendrick or adam wainwright.

But if he's Kendrick then he's starting the AS game and getting a $112m extension right?!
