I am sad I am missing another offensive shtein show

choke booed off the field after another meandering strikeout with 2 runners in scoring position.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

the roster is completely powerless...no one can drive a ball on anything close to a consistent basis

if you want to talk about patience how about ben revere....he is completely and utterly worthless...at least you can argue HOF is still a "prospect" type

ben revere: 26 years old, into his 4th year as a starter
hof: 26 years old, into his 3rd year as a starter

500 ab is still 500 ab and the big difference is ben revere was never a prospect to begin....HOF was a prized 5 tool prized posession and homegrown....laughable to think about but its cause to give him a much longer leash

i can see that logic, but hof has had at bats in the bigs since 2010. he has done absolutely nothing to distinguish himself outside of 1 random power surge last may. other than that hes been absolutely horrible. he is what he is. and hes not good.

because of his wheels revere could be a major league player for a while, but obviously hes not a starter. hes a spot guy, pinch runner and decent pinch hitter. slap hitters dont have swings that can lose their timing, so he doesnt even need consistent at bats to stay fresh. hed do well in a dave roberts role for an al team or something.

what i really was asking is if you lived in jersey now.....now that i know you dont im guessing you live near a millville pa....trout is from south jerz

Oh, I thought it was the other Millville. I think the locals are confused too because I've heard a few of them  bragging about Mike Trout last week and how he's a local kid. Since I'm not from here, I assumed they at least knew who the local talent was. Guess I was wrong.

BigEd76

1-8 in interleague.  Different manager, same pathetic effort against the AL

and not counting that 1 game against the Mets, they've been swept four times already

PhillyPhreak54

Boo Choke but cheer for Mike farging Trout

got it.

Matt Gelb ‏@magelb 12m

If you thought the Phillies were bad, a local TV reporter called Marlon Byrd "Dom" following Wednesday's 3-0 loss.

Matt Gelb ‏@magelb 7m

To Byrd's credit, he did not answer the TV reporter's question. "You don't even know my name," Byrd said.

No idea who it was...but I wanna know too. Todd - get on it!

Utley's free pass is sickening. He started well but he's tailed off and his base running has been shtein.

Eagles_Legendz

Utley is hitting .343 with a .401 OBP and leads the league in doubles.   I haven't looked at all other 2B but I'm pretty sure he's been the best 2B in the NL this year.   His D has regressed pretty significantly but he deserves less than no heat for the phillies failings this year.

i wasnt talking about his productivity (which, as you said, is quite good aside from some defensive deficiencies)...i was talking about how hes the face of the team and forces marlon byrd to stand up and talk about another no show performance from his lineup

rollins and choke are the same way. all 3 have been babied by the phillies handlers and its been accepted by the media, as well.

Utley has always been a no-show with the media.   He's been that way his whole career even at their peak.  They're probably used to it by now.

to be fair GRIT never talked even when they were winning

its not his fault its the fanbases but whats more sickening than him not talking now is how he was elevated to god status because the one farging time he did talk he was twisted and said that world farging champion crap....that's going to be the thing everyone remembers from the championship era even tho when they couldnt farging even win a division jimmy was the one who keep them going and the true leader of the team

"we are the team to beat" calling out the mets >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "world farging champions"
