i thought last night was pretty vanilla....its now turned into basic police procedural for the most part....8 episodes is def too short as well...its kinda ridiculous to wrap all this up in two hours...I also think the mconohay storage facility and robbery shtein is pretty far fetched....the show is better than that and is much better when its about the cops rather than the case

Agreed that the interaction and the depth of the detectives is what makes it - I have a hard time seeing how they can wrap it up in an hour now.

I wonder if Hart is expecting to die? He basically said goodbye to his ex-wife

I don't read this thread often...but how did I miss this nugget. MY GOD, what an ass on her. My balls would explode if a girl called me and told me exactly what she did. Any girl, doesn't have to be mine. SMOKING.fargING.HOT.

not sure if the groundskeeper is the yellow king...he seems too stupid to be a mastermind. hes just the spaghetti monster.

the show really isnt even about any of that. its about mconohay and harrleson. i care more about how they end up than finding the mass murderer and thats the point.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

its not even going to be a mass murderer....its gonna be that religious voodoo cult shtein involving all the people they have already mentioned....i think we basically already know the answer....now its just how it ends....which imo will make these last two episodes sort of meaningless to me....unless theres some sort shocker ending where one of them dies or woodys ex father in law is involved and his daughter has been an abuse victim in the past

It wouldn't surprise me to see both of them die.

Hart hadn't seen his ex in two years and he's saying goodbye and thanks like he knows he ain't gonna be around. Rust is off the reservation and if he offed himself it wouldn't surprise me either.

The sheriff they took hostage is involved obviously as are other political figures. That voodoo shtein runs deep down there.

I think (but am prepared to be wrong) that people are missing the point with all of the theory crafting with True Detective.  People can dig in all they want with theories, I just don't see the show as being much more than MM and Woody.   Maybe I'm wrong though and the entire finale will be mystery centric.

Also started The Americans.  5 episodes in but it's very solid so far.

i think the story is pretty interesting but the show is terribly miscast....lol at keri russell being a murderous russian spy and her husband seems like a weenie to me...and as is the case with most shows the kids are ultra annoying

Good start to it this season.  I think it took a while to get going last season but the final two episodes were suspenseful.

Meanwhile Justified keeps getting better.

i quit the americans because it got too annoying....

anyway hannibal is one thousand times better...unfortunately its going to be cancelled as about 12 people watch it...hannibal isnt that far off from true detective it just isnt on hbo and doesnt have as good a cast
