You don't think Jerry is under pressure to make a change?   They've been mediocre at best of late.  If they loose he'll be asked repeatedly about his decision to stick with Garrett.  Where ever pressure comes from, the press, fan base, etc., it will be there.  Big part of his problem is who is he going to get?  Who's out there?  Who would want to work for this egomaniac?  This way he sticks with Garrett one more year, lose this game he blames it on not having Romo and if they win he declares Garrett is greater than Tom Landry.

who do you think is pressuring jerry jones?

twitter?
the media?
his fans?
his son?

i dont think anyone short of god could pressure jerry jones...in fact i think jerry jones thinks hes god and would almost do the exact opposite of what anyone else said

pressure and jerry jones have never lived in the same galaxy with each other

If Dallas fans stop going to games, those seats will be purchased by opposing teams fans. Jerrah gonna get his money either way. Packer fans filled up half of that stadium and Jerrah didn't lose a dime. And the Cowboys are a "brand" with South Jerz type fans living in Iowa, Montana, Oklahoma, etc who are still going to buy merchandise simply because it's the Cowboys.

Hate to say it, but that team could go 2-14 for the next 5 years and they'd still turn a profit.

dallas hasnt been relevant for 15 years....i find it hard to believe that jj would all of a sudden feel pressure

people like him and lil danni dont feel pressure because they dont care about anyone but themselves

at least jj doest panic like danni...he is a terrible gm but the one thing he does is trust people and give them a legit chance

if he would hire a gm and secede power to him i think hed be a great owner but that will never happen

Financial pressure. I'm sure he feels the many millions of dollars difference between being perennial losers and if they were to, god forbid, win the SB with its ensuing bandwagon insanity.

the difference btwn playing for a division and winning a superbowl for a jj and a dallas is pennies.....hes in this for the fame not the dollars

now if you are a jeffy lurie then the few extra bucks might mean something....but even then its not significant to an owner

It's not pennies, it's millions, especially when you are talking over years. An owner's biggest revenue comes from TV, and Jerruh gets the same amount there as the owners of the Browns and Jags. His financial outlay is stratospheric so his margins aren't nearly as large as most people probably assume. He needs to capitalize on merchandizing, licensing fees etc. that will correlate to how much the team sucks or succeeds. Yes, he won't go broke but regardless of his profit he will feel pressure knowing he is making millions less with a team of choke artists. It's naive to think he is somehow immune to income fluctuations regardless of how his team performs over the years.

Absolutely.  A dear friend of mine, who is a true Cowboys fan from Texas, has lived in Hawaii for 30+ years and still has that damn drawl, said to me the other day "until Jerry Jones dies this franchise is doomed".

Hard to believe its been almost 18 years since he's won a Super Bowl.

I know.  I'm not proud.  My very best friend is turds fan.  I need to reevaluate my social circle.

That's ok, I'm in VA now with the family. Nephew is a taterskins fan, the little cretin. I need to reevaluate my family.

its pennies when you are a billionaire....trust me jerry jones is not sitting at home thing about the few million dollars hes lost by not making the playoffs and because of that he has to fire his coach

We'll just disagree then. A buffoon doesn't get to be a billionaire by not caring about not having $20 million here and $20 million there. They are all greedy farging bastiches.

Rog, who is making 29.5 million this year, is asking for volunteers from NY to help visitors with the SB. NFL will make $10 billion this year. But the volunteers will get to keep their volunteer uniforms. yay them. They could instead just hire a professional staff for a few hundred thousand, or what they'd make with one commercial, But no, let's sucker fans into volunteering instead.

ice grillin you

he wouldnt have kept romo for 8 years and garrett for five

shtein he wouldnt have hired garrett to begin with if he cared about playoff money

or for that matter wade phillips

i dont think lil danni even cares about playoff money (billionaires dont) he just wants to win....but if you want to make that argument then point to how hes run his franchise.....jerry has done the opposite of caring about money

He doesn't care about money.  That's why he built a 100,000 seat stadium.
