If there's anything that can take the sting out of an ugly Eagles loss, it's Dallas/Romo chocking it away in the 4th.

Did Matt Flynn just play himself into another horrible contract?  Jax?  Tenn?  Hou?  Those are the only teams he hasn't played for yet, right.

Weird, but I feel better now than if both the Eagles and dallas had won. Maybe it's because I mistakenly feared Romo and Co were outgrowing choking late in the bigger games. Maybe it's because by the start of the second half of the GB game I was seeing the Eagles playoff hopes starting it's death swirl. Maybe it's the bourbon(Angels Envy and Zackariah Harris, which is pretty good for a cheap bourbon). But in any case the NFC east is probably the worst it has ever been at this point in the year, and I'm feeling very good about it.  Also, I don't think Andy was able to land Flynn.

speaking of fans whats up with all the empty seats in pittsburgh

igy I was in a bar in the city watching the Eagles-Lions game last week (same time as the Steelers game) and was shocked there were absolutely zero Steeler fans in there watching their game. It was snowing a bit, but still, this is Pittsburgh, people are usually insane about the Steelers 365 days a year.

The city has completely checked out like I've never seen before, and I've been here when they've been bad. I think they really sense that the window is closing on their old guys. It's a Phillies-like vibe.

Every season the league has different "points of emphasis" they send around to all the teams. It's shtein they are going to scrutinize more closely and grade the officials on. This season taunting was a big one. It's all part of wringing all the fun out of the game.
