The problem that IGY is talking about, The Palins, Rush, 6k'ers, Birthers.  They're fringe groups.  But like WIP, the loudest mouth gets the most air time.  America cant look away from car crashes.

trust me these people arent fringe.....they are in congress right now being voted in by the base of the party....they are sitting on the effin supreme court....for god sakes sara palin could have been a heartbeat away from the presidency....thank god in a national election so far the country has been much smarter than the republican party

i agree with this and i am one of the sane ones who refuse to let the extreme fringe push me out. some ask why i stay and i reply how can i help try to repair the party if i cant vote in the primaries with the hopes of ridding the GOP of these dopes.

i know its a pipe dream at this point but whatever.

I'm doing the opposite.  In a safely Democratic state I surmised that my worthless vote would be more entertaining to me, and more disruptive to the conservative cause as implemented by the Repulican party, if I registered as a Republican.  I happen to be more liberal than Dennis Kucinich, but I've been a card carrying Republican for years and years, voting for the craziest sons of bitches they can find.

I also enjoy getting their mailings and Rasmussen poll calls.  It's fun to farg with their numbers on those.
