i want to see what Green Bay does tonight, but I give the eagles a good shot to win the game.  i would assume they have james jones back to go with Jordy Nelson and Boykin is doing ok at the slot receiver, but they don't have a TE with Finley being hurt.  if the D can keep them to around 24 points then I give them a good chance.

If Rodgers were in uniform, one executive in personnel said he'd call it, 42-35, for the Packers. Without Rodgers, he's calling it, 35-17, for the Eagles.

"Seneca Wallace is horrible and the Green Bay defense has zero pass rush," the scout said Wednesday. "This is a complete disaster for the Green Bay defense to have to face without a quarterback.

"The Eagles probably will put up 400 yards passing. This guy (coach Chip Kelly) is an aggressive play-caller. They are fabulous on the road and they have no injuries, to speak of.

"This will be a major victory for the Eagles to get right back in the NFC East race."

The Eagles, 4-1 on the road in their 4-5 start, blitz heavily and could attack Wallace, who will be making his first start since January 2012.

"Without the pressure players from Green Bay and the quarterback, and a new style of offense, I see it being a close game," said an NFC personnel man who took the Eagles, 20-17. "With two backup quarterbacks, it's who has the ability to put the most pressure on the quarterback. I think right now that's Philadelphia."

A personnel director for an AFC club called it for Green Bay, 24-21.

"I do believe Wallace will be better after preparing all week as the starter opposed to coming off the bench," the scout said. "You will see a different level of confidence, composure and competence.

"Let's see if the real Nick Foles shows up against the Green Bay secondary that was a no-show against (Chicago's) Josh McCown. The Green Bay defense and the running game have to show up."

The Eagles are flying high after Foles tied an NFL record by throwing seven touchdown passes in a 49-20 victory in Oakland.

"You're better off playing a team like Philadelphia after they've had a big win rather than if they've been a little shaky," an assistant coach for a recent Eagles' opponent said.

"I think Dom Capers will see what people have done successfully against them and put together a good game plan. He'll keep them in check. I'll take Green Bay, 24-20."
