My point is if he gets cut and the NFL blackballs him because of this incident, they're going to find themselves in court.

Regarding cutting Cooper...what does the CBA say?  Could the team actually cut him for this non-crime, off-the-field incident?  If they did, would they open themselves to a lawsuit from the Players Union?

they can cut him with no recourse....what the union would fight for is this years salary being paid in full

Until the league decides to force the change in DC, Goodall, media and every team owner/mgmt. group will twist their pretzel logic every time this comes up. If Lurie really had a sack, they'd be parlaying this into a forced boycott of DC until they change it. "My Eagles will not play in that stadium until they do." Now is the time or it all rings false. farg cooper - journeyman at best and irrelevant to the dialog go-forward unless team and local media does what it should. But nope - all are too afraid to get cut-off from league access. And Lurie's too afraid of the other owners. Thing is its a "no-lose" position.
