LOL @ "one of the best offensive players on the team."  Not that he's necessarily wrong about that because this team is offensively inept, but we're talking about a guy hitting .280 with like 35 rbi.  Are people coming to the stadium to see Michael Young?  No.  I'd get it if they kept him because they viewed him as a cornerstone to the franchise's future, but he's just an above average hitter who sucks in the field and will spend the next 2 or 3 years DH'ing in the AL or coming off the bench for some spot starts in the NL and pinch hit.

At least with Chooch, you can say he's a fan favorite and linked to the WFC, so even if he sucks there's still some sort of quasi-logical reason for keeping him.
