By the time Moss and Dillon got to NE, they had cooled off with their antics quite a bit.  Moss was briefly humbled after spending time with the Raiders.  Dillon finally grew up and wanted to win.  Not to mention that both were exceptionally good players and filled legitimate needs for the team.  Johnson couldn't play his way onto the field but I don't think anyone saw that coming.  He was still thought of as a pretty good player at the time.  And he wasn't much of a distraction that I can remember and was eventually discarded with little fanfare.

We know Tebow sucks as a QB, and even if he was half decent, he's not supplanting Brady.  I think either Belichick is testing his own abilities or they're looking to move him to TE.

That's a nice pick up for them as long as he can stay on the field.

Haynesworth was still an enormous sack of shtein when the Patriots signed him, though.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteWith Michael Crabtree out with a torn Achilles and Mario Manningham questionable for the start of the season as he returns from a torn ACL, the 49ers signed former USC and Oakland Raiders receiver Brandon Carswell on Wednesday.

According to Jimmy Durkin of the San Jose Mercury, Carswell suffered a torn ACL during Thursday's practice.

$60 million in income tax free Florida >>>>>>> $75mil in income taxed Minnesota.  Florida also has like the 4th lowest overall tax burden in the country.

Money IS everything.
