Nice pooch. Why Alabama though?

Because everyone and everything deserves a chance to get out of that state before it ruins them?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Waiting for someone to start a best/worst spider breeds thread

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

They have a problem controlling their pet population. Not really a big surprise considering the rest of the state is a mess.

They have a problem controlling their ignorant human population.

I'm going to the pound over lunch to see if I can adopt this Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix:

I've tried to adopt 4 dogs, but each time some motherfarger called dibs before me....so frustrating if I had a dog, I'd kick it.

Instead of getting a dog from the local pound, I did some research to determine which breed will be the best fit for me. I'm in the process of adopting this Chow Chow in Atlanta.

Cauliflower ear?! I thought this was a Chow, not a boxer!

Her name is currently Sasha, but I'm going to change it to Chowbacca (technically, her full name will be Chowbacca the Woofie).

I love dogs as much as anyone, but you and SD are both adopting dogs from well over 1000 miles away.  You guys are like the Branjolina of dogs.

Tomahawk

I live in Peoria, ILL so it's only about 700 miles. When you're rescuing a specific breed, you may have to look outside your local area.

Sgt PSN

Eh, seemed like it'd be further than that.  Still, that's a lot of travel to adopt a dog.  The dog I adopted 2 years ago was in a shelter 20 miles away from my house and had they not delivered him for me, I'd have probably been too lazy to go pick him up.

phattymatty

they now allow dogs on planes as of forever.

That's funny
