Nobody said anything that would impact your movie experience.

Regarding the plot twist, I thought it was
when the Vice President was in on the terrorist plot, my room mate said the twist was Mandarin being an actor. For whatever reason I wasn't surprised he was just an actor, you knew he was just a figurehead and had no real power from how they were dissecting the bombings.
i saw the twist as what your roommate said and it bothered me

and the plot hole was kind of what you were talking about.  it wasn't charging, which was a huge problem.  but then there it is
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Pain and Gain. I went into this not knowing much about it. I didn't know that it was based on a true story, and I didn't know that it was going to be that dark. But it wasn't awful. From a story/directorial perspective, it would be the bastich son if Fargo and Goodfellas had a baby. It'll probably be best remembered as the Michael Bay movie where shtein didn't blow up every 10 seconds. It was entertaining, because of the true story angle...and a lot of it actually happened. But the end was so over the top that I had to look into it, and they did fabricate that part...which I think was stupid, because it was crazy enough that they didn't have to fake an ending and lose that credibility. But, hey, it was a movie. Whatever.

I had no idea it was based on a true story and figured it was an action/comedy. Because of this post, I read the true story which blew my mind.

The fat doughy looking jackass movie reviewer on CBS revealed a huge Star Trek spoiler on CBS Sunday Morning today.

Saw IM3 this afternoon.  About what I expected.  Not the worst piece of crap I've ever seen but not bad.    Guy Pearce wasn't nearly as good as I'd thought he'd be, though.   Kingsley & Cheadle were fantastic.    The script was mildly amusing.   I hated Paltrow.  If I never see her in a movie again I'll be a happy man.  Seriously, she might be the worst casting choice in the history of movies as Pepper Potts.   Downey was, well, Downey.  Can't help liking that guy even though he mailed this one in.  And finally, the twist wasn't awful.  It was mildly nonsensical at worst.

Basically two hours of smart ass remarks, inside jokes, and shtein blowing up.

Solid popcorn flick.

4/5

I watched Gangster Squad last night and thought it was pretty good. It didn't have good reviews but I was entertained. Penn and Brolin were solid. I thought it could've been a bit longer but overall it was enjoyable.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Finally got around to watching Inside Job last night.  If you like watching docs that make you want to go on a killing spree, give it a watch.

Just got back from Star Trek Into Darkness.

Phenomenal.  Exceeded my expectations and they were pretty goddamn high to begin with.

4.75 out of 5.   I'll talk about it more when others have seen it but I don't want to give anything away.  And there's plenty to give away.  Trust me.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
