Williams agreed to a three-year, $17 million contract that includes $10.5 million in guaranteed money in the first two years of the deal, according to his agent, Harold Lewis.

Williams, who had 75 tackles, four interceptions and 17 pass deflections last season for the Ravens, can earn another $2 million in incentives.

Williams landed with the Eagles in a market flooded with good cornerbacks one year after declining the Ravens' three-year, $15 million contract offer.

"We're excited," Lewis told The Baltimore Sun. "Cary is leaving one great team and is excited to join another great team. The Eagles are a great organization. It's a perfect fit."

seen a lot of this cat....hes long which allows him to get to a lot of balls but isnt a huge playmaker....but hes also really lean and struggles at any kind of press coverage

i think a good comparison would be to bobby taylor as far as his overall skills (but smaller)

If he's an NFL caliber defender of any stripe, welcome aboard. There's still a lot of underbrush on this D that needs to be cleared out. Step 1 in the rebuild is to get a roster full of players who actually belong in the league.

Loving the focus on quantity so far. Important to eliminate the liabilities that every semi-competent team exploits. They don't need All-Pros, they need a foundation first. Where they do need some bigtime players is the draft.
