I like him way more than JJ, but as of now I have absolutely no idea who I want at 4. Jordan is still probably my #1, but that changes with Warmack or trading down basically every hour.

jj shariff floyd and louie louie (along with cordarelle patterson) have the most upside in the draft but im leaning against them right now just because the birds arent in a position where they can miss at the four spot this year (also jj's neck drops him for me)

luckily while the talent up there is weak theres a ton of players that are locks to be very good....i think thats where id go....joker fisher warmack

I think Jordan has more upside than JJ. JJ's a good athlete, not great, and really isn't much of a cover guy. Jordan's a better athlete, significantly better in coverage, has great size, but hasn't been the great pass rusher. Jordan has a lot more room to grow as a player, what you see with Jones is what you get (yeah, still a very good pass rusher). In their rookie years Jones would be the better player, but their long term questions are equal.

That aside, agreed, they absolutely can't miss at 4. If they trade down and grab another 2nd or 3rd rounder I'd feel a lot more comfortable with them gambling. Would have no complaints if they go with one of those OL.

i disagree but it doesnt matter they arent taking either one at four....and actually now they might be able to get one of them with their second pick

The more I read about the prospects the more I'm hoping they trade back. Maybe trade back to around the 10 spot and pick up an extra second. They have a lot of needs. Maybe Warmack falls to them then they spend the rest of their picks on D.

the problem is cf and the eagles arent the only people that know how balanced the top of the draft is.....its a depth draft so you are going to be hard pressed to find someone to give a second which would be nuts or even a lower pick to move up and get a player who isnt any better than the guy you would have gotten if you stayed put

the exception might be geno smith....if he crushes his workouts and a team falls in love with him you may be able to do something there

Teams get nutty around draft time. Moving from 10 range to 4 range in any draft is worthy of at least a 2nd. That should be a gimme trade.

In the top 4 they're almost guaranteed a 10 year starter & pro bowl level talent.  Get outside that area and it's a toss of the dice.   I mean, it is anyway, but still...

sometimes yes but not in this draft....because its really deep with high floor guys....and its especially deep at OL and DT probably the two safest positions there are

I understand all that.  I'm saying from a historical standpoint you rarely get a HOF player around 10.  There's a multitude of reasons they go lower and of course I'm not saying you can't find special players, but damn it, they have a top 4 pick and it's almost impossible to farg it up, so why risk it?   If they can hold a team up for a ransom then fine but I'd rather them just take a sure thing for a change.

thats just not true...of course you have better odds but heres a small breakdown of HOF draft picks since 1970

top 5 picks - 25
2nd rounders - 13
first rounders picks 11-20 - 12
3rd round and beyond - 13

im ok with them staying there but if there was ever a draft to trade down it would be this one

Wouldn't be surprised for someone to trade up for an OT too. Joeckel will definitely be top 5 and has a good shot at being #1, Fisher won't last past the Cardinals at 7, and then there's a dropoff. A team might want to trade up so they have their shot at Fisher or pick of the two. Not saying that's a better alternative than the Eagles picking one of those guys themselves, but this team has a million holes and picking up extra 2nd or 3rds (who could be starters) for dropping down a couple spots could be worthwhile.

Not to mention that top 4 picks is not always a lock either. The last 2-3 drafts have been strong, but there is usually at least one bust in the top 4 and there are drafts with lots of weakness at the top like 2009.

theres not a single player that would make me stay at four if they were there....if the joker falls to them i wouldnt have a problem trading out of four...dont forget lane johnson...he will still be around for a few picks where the eagles can go back a little bit and get him if they wanted to....its after him when the OT fall off....but would anyone be upset if they traded back got a pick or two and instead of the joker they got bakrvious mingo damontre moore or shariff floyd....i know i wouldnt

shtein or the mack daddy
