There's zero chance they give him up for less than a 3. And I don't think a 2 is even outside the realm of possibility. Depends on whether Reid wants to eat his own dog food.

they know no way in hell they get a first or second for him. they have to say this to drive up his value. foles didnt do anything spectacular to even be considered for a 1st or 2nd--shtein even a 3rd.

Why? He has a middling shot at being a starting QB in this league after a year and has done nothing to disprove that, as opposed to Gabbert or Tebow or someone.
People give up top 10 draft picks for that every damn year.
Why would you trade that for the opportunity to draft the 8th highest ranked corner, or 6th best tackle?

totally disagree.....as long as chipper is the coach theres every reason to....his value will never be higher than this offseason because hes not going to play as long as chipper is at the helm....whats the point of him riding the pine this year and having his value degrade

First, that's not necessarily true. Second, even if it were to be, it wouldn't diminish his value dramatically. I still think it might happen this offseaon, but they won't jump at less than they drafted him for at this point. No reason to not hold out to maximize it.

chippers offense is not made for big sloths....its why they brought vick back for 7-10 million bucks....if foles was in their plans they would have just given him the job....hes a young second year 3rd round pick after all....i am baffled how someone cant see all the writings on the wall

i hate vick as well but i also understand the reality of the situation and they hired chippy to run his offense...an offense that vick is much better suited for and that foles doesnt fit at all....so the obvious thing to do is move him....im not suggesting they trade him for a 7th round pick just to get rid of him....

but you have to move him for the best offer before the draft is over...id be estatic to get a third....realistically its going to be a 4th or 5th
