Birds get the #1 pick in the draft who do you take?

Jarvis Jones? Or are we sick of the dlinemen getting taken in the first round?

Would he even be a 4-3 lineman?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I haven't watched a ton of Georgia but I don't recall seeing him line up at DE.  I thought he was always a SAM

his position in college has been pass rusher....he rarely if ever drops back in coverage...and is almost exclusively on the edge whether as an end or outside the end

he reminds me so much of von miller...the one slight difference is that imo jj is a much better tackler...i think he will be a guy that is always near the league leaders in FF...i think jj would ideally play in a 3-4 but hes such a talent he can play in any d...id move him all over the place and just let him go after the qb and run around the field and wreck shop

I want Te'o.  He's the next Seau (w/o the lead poisoning).

yeah I think JJ is ideally suited for a 3-4.

top of the draft is so underwhelming to me compared to recent years.  I guess if he's there you take Joeckel but I'm not wildly enthusiastic about it.  Still wouldn't be surprised to see Barkley re-enter the conversation for a top-5 pick if his workouts go well.

still a long way to go before we can even think about who to take...need to see where they end up...a couple wins this month and they might be picking 10 or 11...also gotta let the juniors declare...and see where jason peters sits as far as his rehab

Taking a tackle in the top 5 scares the farg outta me.

I just want someone in charge who isn't gonna farg it up.

Why? You get a stud Tackle, Peters comes back, Herremans goes back to G, suddenly the O-line looks decent.

the big offseason question for them is the secondary...its concievable that not a single member of it comes back...of course its arguably the single worst corner/safety draft ever

Thanks to Carolina, Cleveland and San Diego all winning, the Eagles didn't hurt themselves too bad with that win.  Assuming Detroit loses at Green Bay, they'll stay at #4 if the Seahawks win
