DiLeo now saying OdenBynum out indefinitely. I'm saying it's clear he's never going to play for the 76ers, who got scammed.

whatever.  the pundits talking about it being a disaster are dumb.  The Sixers weren't "on the rise" or whatever with Iguodala.  Iggy was a nice player and the Sixers were stagnant with that construction of the team and weren't going to have cap space or win anything.  That was the win/win aspect of this deal.  If Bynum was healthy and you sign him to an extension you get a legit big man to anchor the team, putting you in a better position than they were in previously.  If he wasn't, you let him go, and you can max out someone in two offseasons and can hopefully reconstruct the team.

It was a chance I'm glad they took, it didn't work out but you can't stay in purgatory forever. What sucks is they gave up Harkless, a first, and took on Richardson's contract. I see Iguodala leaving as a necessary step in the right direction. At least they can offer a max deal come seasons end.

Yeah Thad was in beast mode and ET played half decent as well...still outta control at times though.

The perimeter defense was shtein in OT and their shooting in the latter stages of the 4Q left a lot to be desired.

As for Bynum - that is a deal you have to make, to take that shot on a legit big man. I am not ready to write him off entirely though. I think he plays this year and they still sign him.

Bynum may never play again, forget just this season. He has no cartilage in his knees and has to support a giant frame. Signing him would be really stupid. Remember Jeff Ruland?

We went from Webber, to Brand waiting to get rid of their deals why make the exact same mistake with Bynum?

I do remember him, yes. But like I said the other day - it would not be unprecedented to see a team sign a guy with knee issues to a long term deal. He may have killed his shot at a max deal, but some team is going to sign him and take a shot. Why? Because he is a legit big man.

I am not saying they definitely do it - but I would not be shocked if they do.
